Winnebago Community Celebrates 14th Annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza
April 9, 2026
Winnebago, Ne – The 14th Annual Winnebago Community Easter Egg-Stravaganza was held on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at Winnebago Public School, bringing together families for a vibrant afternoon of celebration and community engagement.
This year’s event welcomed attendees of all ages to participate in age-grouped Easter egg hunts, with 16,000 candy-filled eggs on the turfed fields. Children eagerly joined their designated hunt times, searching for eggs and enjoying the thrill of discovery, while families cheered them on, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere.
In addition to the egg hunts, the event featured a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain the entire family. Guests enjoyed a petting zoo, pony rides, delicious pizza, and exciting prize opportunities. This year, Auntie Bunny was a crowd favorite, with the children excited to take photos and create lasting memories with the special guest.
“Although we put rain or shine to the test, it is an honor to continue supporting & attending this beloved community tradition" reflected David Edwards, CEO of WCHS. “Our Public Health Department is great at providing opportunities for our relatives to come together, connect, be active, and be outside - in all kinds of weather. Healthy family activities, entertainment and connections are just one of the ways we work to create and sustain healthy community.”
The Easter Egg-Stravaganza has grown into a cherished annual tradition, reflecting WCHS’s commitment to supporting family engagement and encouraging meaningful connections across the community. WCHS thanks everyone who attended and contributed to making this year’s Easter Egg-Stravaganza a memorable event and looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years ahead.
