Community Crisis Response

The term "Kikijire" is Ho-Chunk for "help each other" which is the name of our Community Crisis Response program. This mobile crisis response team provides emergency services to people in crisis on the scene. This 24/7 assistance allows mental health support in the form of mental health evaluations, de-escalation, and referrals to local services and resources.  

Intervention Care Steps

1. In person, our response team is face-to-face in the community and in your home
2. Provides rapid response crisis intervention and assessment, and
3. Works with you to create plans to connect to further resources. 

Normalizing Mental Health

Your mental health is just as critical as your physical health. You are a whole person being healthy requires you to consistently be monitoring, working on, and taking care of yourself - both mentally and physically person.

Although often easier to disguise - panic attacks, depression, or suicide ideations are just as dangerous as a gaping wounds and car accidents. Therefore, in the exact same way that the Emergency Medical Services team of paramedics would meet you to triage a physical wound and help transport you to the emergency room for follow up care.
