Winnebago, NE – Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System (WCHS) is proud to announce that Chief Dental Officer, Rex Monif, has been named a recipient of The Caring Kind Award, recognizing his dedication to patient care, compassionate leadership, and commitment to serving the Winnebago community and surrounding areas.
Monif has demonstrated a passion for improving the health and well-being of those he serves. His dedication extends beyond the Dental Clinic, where he provides quality patient care and fosters a supportive environment for staff. Through his leadership, community involvement, and military service, Monif continues to make a difference in others' lives.
Mona Zuffante, Chief of Public Health at WCHS, who nominated Rex for the award, shared:
“Rex Monif embodies what it means to lead with compassion, service, and dedication. He consistently goes above and beyond, not only as a leader in our Dental Clinic, but also through his service in the military and his unwavering commitment to our community. Whether serving patients, mentoring colleagues, or strengthening our community, Rex leads with kindness, humility, and a genuine desire to improve others' lives. He truly exemplifies the spirit of The Caring Kind Award.”
Monif’s commitment to the community is especially evident through the traditions he has helped facilitate and build: WCHS's Angel Tree and Easter Egg Hunt. Providing opportunities for our relatives to come together, these events have become cherished traditions, welcoming more than 500 community members each year.
The Caring Kind Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional compassion, kindness, and dedication to others. Monif’s contributions reflect these qualities and WCHS’s ongoing mission to create and sustain a healthy community.
WCHS congratulates Rex Monif on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued dedication to improving the lives of patients and community members.
